This data protection statement applies to all services provided by BioBench B.V. on the German-language section of its internet platform which can be accessed at www.BioBench.com.

Nature and scope of the data collated, processed and used

In principle, you may visit the section of our website which does not require prior registration without providing us with any personal details. In this case, your internet browser will pass technical details to our web server in the standard way. This information includes the date and duration of access, your browser type, the website you came to us from as well as the websites you visit while with us. Each time you request information, your internet browser also transmits your IP address. When you visit the section of our internet platform which does not require registration, we do not save your IP address however, nor do we use it for other purposes.
If you wish to visit the section of our site where registration is required, you will need to provide us with some personal details. These details include, for example, your name, address, email address and, where necessary, other personal details which we may ask for in individual cases. When you visit the section of our internet platform which requires registration, you also provide details of your biogas plant. We place cookies on our internet platform; these are small text files which your browser saves on your computer. These cookies help to make our offer user-friendly, efficient and secure. Most of the cookies we use are known as ’session cookies’. They are deleted automatically immediately or shortly after your visit ends. Cookies will not damage your computer, and do not carry any viruses.

We also collate anonymous, non-personal statistical information for the purposes of user analysis and user behaviour and to review anonymously the data entered by users about their biogas plants. Regular analysis of this data is part of the basis that drives further development of the website and the internet platform as well as helping us to formulate new or improved strategies.

Use of your details

We collate, process and use personal data without your consent, and where not already permitted under law, only where this is needed in order to form and develop a contractual relationship, or for invoicing purposes.

Passing on your details

Your details will not be passed on for commercial purposes. To make our internet platform available, we use third party support services where necessary such as, for example, the services of a host provider; these providers – where there is a technical need – may have access to these details.

Protection of your data

In order to protect your personal data from unauthorised use and misuse, we have put some technical and organisational security measures in place. We regularly review these security measures, and adapt them as far as possible to technological advances.

Deleting data

When your personal details are no longer needed for the purposes above, they are deleted. Where data needs to be retained for fiscal or other reasons, the data is blocked. This means the data is no longer available for any other purpose.

Consent for you to collate, process and use my personal data

I consent that BioBench B.V. may collate, process and use my personal data (such as, for example, my name, address and email address) in order to make available the area of its internet platform which requires registration.

I consent that BioBench B.V. may pass my personal data to associated companies and to service providers appointed by BioBench B.V. provided these companies comply with this data protection statement or guarantee at least equivalent protection of my personal data. Service providers appointed by BioBench B.V. may process and use my personal data only to fulfil their assignment.

I further consent that if BioBench B.V. is sold by these controlled undertakings, individual subsidiaries or business divisions, my personal data shall be transferred to the purchaser along with the part of the business that is divested.
